Letters of recommendation, classroom presentations, and homecoming week!
Letters of Recommendation
Some colleges require a counselor recommendation as part of the application process. If a student needs one, please complete a “Brag Sheet” found in my (Ms. Carr’s) office. The Brag Sheet includes information about community service, extracurricular activities, and more. This helps us to write an effective letter that tells colleges what they need to know about a student. As the requests are frequently coming in, please allow 2 weeks for them to be completed. Many application deadlines are in November, so get started now if you have not already!
Mrs. Spence went into the 11th grade classrooms this week and talked about PSAT results, post-high school plans, high school requirements, GPAs, and planning the next year of high school. See the awesome presentation below!
This week was filled with dress up days, a pep rally, a parade, a football game, and the homecoming dance! The character dress-up day was my favorite day. It was exciting to see students express themselves in so many different ways- from Bettlejuice to Doug Dimmadome. The parade was also fun! I had the pleasure of being in the parade with the Middle School Cheerleaders. The fabulous marching band followed directly behind us so we were entertained for the entire stretch of Minutemen Causeway. Thanks to everyone who watched! I loved seeing all of the Queen nominees at the football game; everyone was so beautiful! The homecoming dance was decked out in 70’s theme. I really felt like I was in the 70’s. Great job SGA!
