Jostens senior meeting, Veteran’s Day Ceremony, Classroom presentations, Middle School Dance, and Dual Enrollment reminders.
Jostens Senior Meeting
It is hard to believe that we are already talking all things graduation for current seniors, but it will be here before you know! This week Jostens spoke to all of the seniors about cap and gowns, graduation invitations, and more! They will be on campus 11/14 and 11/15 during lunch to answer any questions and to take orders. Questions? Contact Jostens at: office@campussupplyfl.com or 321-242-2055.
Mrs. Walker, the senior class sponsor, also shared some important updates:

Spaces are limited for Grad Bash! The deadline is January 31, but spaces fill up quick so submit early.
Veteran’s Day Ceremony
On Friday, JROTC hosted an amazing ceremony honoring veterans. There were several veterans in attendance! A video was played showing CBHS alumni currently in the armed forces, and current faculty and staff who served. Chorus and band also performed. Dr. Rendell said it beautifully: “The Veterans Ceremony last Friday morning was simply amazing. Think about the impact that this ceremony has on our students. We were able to show them the significance of the sacrifice of the men and women who serve in our Armed Forces… I want to thank everyone for the part they played in providing this learning experience for our students.”
Classroom Presentations
Ms. Mackin, counselor for 7th and 10th graders, spoke to the 10th grade classes on Thursday. She spoke about graduation requirements, the guidance webpage, Bright Futures, how to make an appointment to complete a credit check with Ms. Mackin, and next steps between now and May. See the presentation below:
Middle School Dance
The middle school dance was hosted on Friday by NJHS! This year was 80’s themed. All the proceeds went to Dance Marathon.
NJHS is bringing Dance Marathon to CBHS in February! All the proceeds go directly to Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital in Orlando. The hospital is a nonprofit hospital that provides millions of dollars of uncompensated care each year. The most fundraising is done through a peer-to-peer platform called Donor Drive. Dance Marathon is the celebration of fundraising efforts throughout the year. Each student has to raise $50 to attend. If you would like to donate to the overall event, please visit: https://events.dancemarathon.com/event/CBHS20
Dual Enrollment
Appointments are now open to register for Dual Enrollment for the Spring semester! If you are a current DE student, make an appointment with your CBHS counselor to select the courses you wish to take next semester. If you (or your student) is interested in starting Dual Enrollment over the summer or next school year, we will be hosting an event in February to discuss all things DE.
