Brevard Schools Foundation Scholarships

Brevard Schools Foundation offers various scholarships specifically for Brevard county seniors. There are some only available to Cocoa Beach seniors. All applications open February 1, 2021. Application: http://brevardschoolsfoundation.org/programs/scholarships
Reginald E. Johnson Memorial Scholarship Foundation
Deadline: March 15, 2021
Eligibility: The scholarship award will be awarded to deserving students who have a commitment to excellence. The winners are expected to maintain an attitude and manner representing the high standards set by Cadet Reginald E. Johnson. See application for additional requirements.

Eligibility: Recipients must begin college either at the summer or fall term of the calendar year in which the award is presented.

Cape Canaveral Hospital Scholarship
Deadline: April 1, 2021 Award: $1,500
Eligibility: Each eligible applicant must be a “Central Brevard County resident”. For our purposes, Central Brevard includes Cape Canaveral, Cocoa Beach, Cocoa, Merritt Island, Port St. John, Rockledge, Viera, and Sharpes.

The Grind to Fly Scholarship
Deadline: April 10, 2021 Award: $500
Eligibility: While specifically offered to graduating seniors of Cocoa Beach High School, the Grind to Fly $500 Scholarship is highly competitive and often requires demonstration of consistent athletic and academic success. A competitive scholarship application is often rooted in our principles, “Commit. Grind. Fly.” Reading The Grind to Fly System is a great way to understand what our committee looks for in its applicants. 100% of the profits generated from The Grind to Fly System benefit the scholarship.

Gladys Mosher Award for Continuing Education
Deadline: April 1, 2021 Award: $1,500
Eligibility: Applicant must be a current Brevard County resident. Applicant must be enrolled /attending an accredited college or university. Applicant must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Must be seeking a career in health care.

The Winston-Salem Foundation
Deadline: March 15, 2021 Award: Varies by scholarship
Eligibility: We offer more than 130 scholarships that supported approximately 600 students from Forsyth, Davidson, Davie, Stokes, Surry, Wilkes, and Yadkin Counties with $1.2 million in the last school year. Scholarships are available in a wide range of areas—no matter your GPA, your high school, or the college you plan to attend, we likely have an opportunity for which you’re eligible to apply.

Lockheed Martin Vocational Scholarship Program
Deadline: March 11, 2021 at 3pm Award: $6,600
Eligibility: U.S. Citizens, High school graduates (or GED equivalent), undergraduates with less than a bachelor’s degree, or high school seniors, Planning to enroll part-time or full-time at an accredited vocational technical school, trade school, two-year community or state college for the 2021-2022 academic year, Pursuing an associate degree, credit-bearing certificate or an industry-recognized credential in one of the specified fields of study

The Phoenix Song Scholarship
Deadline: ongoing Awards: $1,000-$33,000
Eligibility: high school senior with 3.5 GPA, applying to a 4 year institution, required essay of no more than 500 words, submit completed application. This scholarship specifically is available for students who are pursuing an education in one of the performing arts. Must provide documentation proving acceptance to a performing arts program. The Phoenix Flight Scholarship
Deadline: ongoing Awards: $1,000-$33,000
Eligibility: high school senior with 3.5 GPA, applying to a 4 year institution, required essay of no more than 500 words, submit completed application. This scholarship is available for students who are actively involved in an organization that supports LGBT causes. Students must provide a reference attesting to their potential to educate the public and positively impact the LGBT+ community. Application: www.phoenixfoundationcfl.org
The Phoenix Flame Scholarship
Deadline: ongoing Awards: $1,000-$33,000
Eligibility: high school senior with 3.5 GPA, applying to a 4 year institution, required essay of no more than 500 words, submit completed application. This scholarship is available for qualifying students who have suffered the death of either one or both parents. Must provide a copy of their birth certificate and a copy of the deceased parent’s death certificate. Application: www.phoenixfoundationcfl.org
BigSun Scholarship
Deadline: June 19, 2021 Award: $500
Eligibility: All student athletes are eligible for this award, regardless of which sport they are participating in. Their participation may be in any capacity, whether as a player, coach or official. Application: http://www.bigsunathletics.com
Space Coast Jazz Society
Deadline: April 15, 2021 Award: $1,000
